About Sarah

Sarah Keeler Badger  began her dance training in San Antonio, Tx where she studied classical ballet at the Ballet San Antonio Academy, performing children's roles with Ballet San Antonio for several seasons. She also competed in jazz, tap and ballet on a national level throughout her childhood and danced with Alamo Arts Ballet Theatre.  In 2007, Sarah graduated from the North East School of the Arts where she majored in Dance and Musical Theater. She performed featured dance roles in musicals, dance concerts, and industrial shows in Texas and appeared in shows at SeaWorld San Antonio.
Following her high school graduation, Sarah moved to New York City after being accepted into the pre-professional training program at the Ailey School.  Sarah danced with In-Sight Dance Company, a contemporary ballet company based in Queens, NY before relocating to western New York with her husband, Graham. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and Religious Studies from Marymount Manhattan College and, after having her son in 2012, developed her interest in mind-body wellness by becoming a certified Pilates mat instructor. She is also certified to teach group exercise classes and is continually expanding her knowledge of fitness and anatomy through various workshops and teacher training courses.

She directed the Houghton Movement and Arts Center, a studio that worked to bring professional quality dance education to rural communities in western NY, for four years before relocating to Buffalo in 2015.  She  founded  Genesee Dance Theatre, an offshoot of HMAC  focusing on providing free dance performances and performance opportunities to Allegany County NY.

Sarah is currently an administrative assistant at Neglia Ballet in Buffalo, NY where she also teaches modern, Pilates and barre fitness. She continues to direct and dance with the Genesee Dance Theatre in her limited spare time!
